Framing a couple in motion across the Bainbridge ferry and shoreline meant chasing feeling over precision, and the work leaned into blur, wind, and the grey Pacific Northwest sky as collaborators rather than obstacles. The shots were built around movement and contact, two people running along the water's edge, spinning on a ferry deck while the sound stretched out behind them, pulling each other close while the wind took everything else. Both film and digital moved between sharp and intentionally soft, letting certain frames dissolve at the edges so the emotion carried more weight than the detail. The process drew from cool muted tones, deep blacks, and the particular quality of overcast Pacific Northwest light, where everything feels suspended and close, and from that a visual rhythm formed that sits somewhere between a memory and a film still.
